Two of the WHTG family – Caroline Forrester and Jane Scott – are branching out to create a new TREC club for Lincolnshire and we hope that you will support them and their events. Their first meeting is being held on 14 March at

Young riders <21 – please apply to the training fund to assist with training costs

Saturday 14 March 2015 at 2pm
A guided walk (on foot) with basic map reading, ideal for newcomers to the sport including those who have entered Bulcote TREC on 21st March.

On foot grids, bearings and woodlands training – brush up on the techniques required for successful navigation in woodland, and have a go at some grids and bearings so you that you know what to expect at levels 3 & 4

We are planning some cross-country training in Leicestershire in May, and further ‘newcomers & improvers’ days in Wakefield on 21 June (note change from 20th), 18 July & 30 August, plus more on-foot navigation training on 12 September.
Negotiations are also underway for a level 1 competition and more training in York in the Summer. Watch this space!

    Very excited to hear about possible events / training in York and further navigation training (always seems to fall when I’m working sadly which is a pity as I have literally zero navigation skills!)
